DFN-AAI
New IPs for DFN-AAI Metadata Download and Metadata Administration Portal from 9 July 2024
on 9 July, the hostsmdv.aai.dfn.de (metadata administration) and www.aai.dfn.de (metadata download) will be migrated to a new operating environment. A downtime of approx. one hour is to be expected.
The exact time will be announced a few days in advance.
In the course of this migration, both hosts will receive new IP addresses:
www.aai.dfn.de: IPv4: 194.95.250.136 IPv6: 2001:638:dfce:3000:4::5
mdv.aai.dfn.de: IPv4: 194.95.250.137 IPv6: 2001:638:dfce:3000:4::6
Please ensure that any firewall settings are adjusted accordingly!

The DFN-AAI Metadata Viewer provides an overview the participating home institutions and the available service.
Access to the metadata administration tool
New metadata admins can be designated by the administrative or technical contacts who signed the contract with us (see the contract details in Metadata Admin tool). They can send us an e-mail to hotline@aai.dfn.de, containing the following contact details for each new metadata admin:- full name,
- e-mail address and
- work phone number.
The credentials will be sent directly to the new metadata admins.
